Walnut with an unusual grain
can be dismantled into two parts
very elaborately crafted with rich interior fittings
many small drawers made of maple and burl wood in the top
ebony thread inlays
four fake drawers in the back wall of the middle compartment
The upper drawer in the lower section is designed as a writing drawer
with ebonized writing surface, hinged front and two small drawers
two large drawers underneath
Original iron locks
restored and hand polished with shellac
